Bottom of Grand Canyon

This is a climbing goat against the rocks of the Grand Canyon. We were in a jeep on Indian territory when we took this shot. We had to get permission from the tribe before we could travel through the canyon down to the Colorado River. Most people don’t see the goats because they blend in so well.

Mother’s Last Vacation

Mother's Last Vacation

This is picture of my cute Mother at a Greek restaurant in Hilton Head, SC. Mother went with us on this vacation and really enjoyed about three days until the Alzheimer’s acted up. She didn’t know why we had taken her to South Carolina. Mother loved to travel and she and I have had many vacations together. This was her last in October, 2012. She died that December. She was my best friend, and I will always miss having her near.

This is a photo taken on the porch at the Columbia Restaurant in Celebration, FL. The restaurant serves the best beans and rice and Cuban sandwiches. Their specialty is the 1905 salad that features Spanish olives and the best dressing ever. The location is outside Disney World in the cute village of Celebration…a must go- to- see if you are in the area. There are many unique shops and great restaurants there, as well as a huge lake with rocking chairs to sit in on your breaks from shopping!! Great Place!!

Me as a one year old...69 years ago...

Annie at one was a cheerful little girl who loved her teddy bear and the tiny stroller that she got for Christmas. She was the only daughter until she was three. Over the years her hair turned a dark chocolate brown. Sixty-nine years later, she has a reddish brown color from a bottle…teehee…there is some gray beneath the color.

This is a treasure! My Uncle Jack, my Uncle Sherwood, and my Mother are outside their home sitting on the porch. They are all three in heaven now with my Grandfather and Grandmother(s). My grandfather was an itinerant preacher for the Church of Christ…Silas W. Baker.
